Big Girl!

Greta amazes me daily with all her new tricks. This morning I was downstairs working on the computer and Greta was playing in her room by her bookshelf. I went upstairs to check on her and she had pulled all of the books off her bookshelf. I am sure this is just the first of many messes! Sometimes I feel like I am watching a time lapse camera, but that is how fast she is changing. I better stop writing before I start crying :-)

May Pictures

Another month has flown by! Why is it that time goes so fast when you want it to slow down? Greta has been changing a lot lately. This past month she has become a master at sitting up. She does numerous tummy crunches a day trying to sit up (from a laying down position). She is also a master grabber - nothing in her reach is safe anymore. She also loves to stand and practice "walking" - but we don't let her do that too often :-)

This weekend we are headed to my parent's place on Windfall Lake. I am really excited to get out, put our sailboat in the water, and even though it will be only 60 degrees, I am hoping to waterski (since I couldn't last summer).

Last week was my birthday - the big 2-6. I got to reinstate a Dallas tradition of celebrating with my good friend Melissa Groven whose birthday is also on the 17th. She was in the process of moving to North Dakota with a short layover in the cities. We have officially celebrated 3 of the last 4 birthdays together.




Last weekend we shot a wedding in La Crosse. Our good friends Derek & Regan Mueller took care of Greta for us. They have a 10 month old boy, Justus. I don't think that their first date went very well :-)

Sorry for the long time between posts. Tonight is my last night visiting Heidi & Bill in Virginia. We had a blast getting to see their new home and church. Here are a few pictures from the beach on Saturday.

Stripes

This picture of Greta cracks me up. She is turning out to be such a ham! This week she is perfecting the art of blowing raspberries (she learned that from her dad) and she is even starting to giggle.

This afternoon I have a photo session with 6 month old Willy Rouse. I love photographing babies! I'll try and post a few shots later on.

Texas Trip - Dallas

In Dallas we stayed with our good friends Jon & Charlene. We finally got to meet their baby, Abby - What a cutie! Abby tried to teach Greta a few tricks - the only one that stuck was sitting up in her Bumbo chair. Greta's new favorite thing to do!

Texas Trip - College Station

In College Station we visited with my great aunt and uncles, Ethel, Don & Glenn. We also spent time with Lori, Amber & Daniel.

Texas Trip - San Antonio

For some reason I am having trouble posting pictures. So I think I will have to do this in several posts. I'll start with the pictures from San Antonio.

We had a blast shooting Jeff & Stephanie's wedding at the Southwest School of Art and Craft. We took one zillion pictures, so I have a lot of editing to do! My college roommates Allison and Amber came for the weekend and watched Greta while we were at the wedding. Jon and I stayed for a few days on the riverwalk for a mini vacation.
