And more babies...!

Congrats to my cousin Renee and her husband Chas on the birth of their new baby girl. Caroline Ruth Sample was born a week ago Monday! Check out their blog: http://crsample.blogspot.com/

My good and oldest friend (we go all the way back to kindergarten) Heather, is expecting any day now. I had the chance to take some maternity pictures for her a month ago. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Just loungin'

Here are a few recent pictures of Greta. I'm not sure where she learned to kick her feet up and relax (her momma never does that!), but recently that is the only way she sits in her chair.

My Famous Friend

Wow! My college roommate Allison has just become the face of Chevron! Click here www.chevron.com to view the entire website. I think this makes her the most famous person I know!

Wow! Sorry for the long time between posts. The past 6 weeks have been wonderfully filled with family and babies. I will try to catch up on it all in one long post, which will probably be the longest blog post ever, so feel free to just skim :-)

Starting with...
February 26
Our niece Ava Joy was born. She has already lived up to her name and brought our family a lot of joy. Here are a few pictures taken when she was just a couple of weeks old.

The pictures I took when we visited in the hospital can be seen here:

After Ava was born, we enjoyed having Ellie and Graham with us for a couple of days. Greta loves spending time with her cousins!

Please continue to keep little Ava in your prayers - specifically that she would continue to gain weight. If you are interested in reading more, Carrie and Carter have started a blog here.

March 4
Another prayer request...one week after Ava was born, good friends of ours from church had a little girl named Geneva Joy Selvig. She was born with a diaphragmatic hernia. Unfortunately we haven't been able to meet her yet because she is still at the Children's hospital in Minneapolis. They have a website for Geneva here.

March 10
Jon's brother and family came home from Mexico (and yes, I will call wishingly call Eau Claire home for them). We hadn't seen them since September, so it was fun to see how much Zoey had changed and how Zoey and Greta interacted (and they did just as you would imagine two stubborn red heads would :-) We got to spend the majority of the week up at the family cabin. Here are a few highlights:

March 11
Our niece, Olivia Lynn Sprouse was born. It was hard to be so far away from Heidi during this time, especially since she ended up having a c-section. I was fortunate to be able to use my frequent flier miles to visit her a week later. On Sunday the 16th we celebrated my mom's birthday with the Kohlhepps and got to meet Olivia for the first time via webcam.

Greta was fascinated with both the computer and Olivia.

One week after Olivia was born I flew out (by myself!) to visit Heidi. My parents flew out with Greta on Saturday night before Easter. We enjoyed going to Heidi and Bill's church for Easter and watching Olivia be a quiet and sweet baby and Greta be a wild and crazy toddler.

A few more babies...

My college roomie Amber is expecting in October! Congrats!

Our good friends Aaron and Heather Jones are in Korea right now picking up their daughter. We can't wait to meet baby Liv! You can read more about their story here.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading the longest post ever if you made it this far!
