We met with Dr. Delmastro again this morning. The ultrasound I had to measure the size of the tumor was not super helpful. They weren't able to get a good measurement because the tissue was so similar to the surrounding tissue. They did measure the lymph node that they had biopsied and it was measuring the same (2.1 cm). The doctor thought that it probably is shrinking because the original ultrasound was almost a month before starting chemo, so it had probably grown some in that time. He did think that the tumor in my breast felt smaller from his physical exam and more movable / less attached to the chest wall. He scheduled an MRI in 4 weeks instead of another ultrasound, and that should give us a better measurement. Overall, I was hoping for better, or at least more precise news at this appointment. But, this isn't bad news, so we will remain hopeful!
